Soccer for Education – Fundación ReachingU

Soccer for Education is a project that invites 6th grade students from public schools to develop interdisciplinary proposals based on a real and inspiring experience: a soccer tournament alongside some of Uruguay’s most renowned sports figures. The initiative is organized by ReachingU Foundation, in partnership with UNESCO and the Pelota al Medio a la Esperanza program of the Ministry of the Interior. The project aims to integrate curriculum content with core values such as respect, inclusion, coexistence, and teamwork, fostering the development of social, cognitive, communicative, and emotional skills. Each participating school designs and implements its own classroom project using materials provided by ReachingU. The experience includes a virtual gathering where schools share what they’ve learned, strengthening an educational community committed to innovation and meaningful learning.
