This project seeks to strengthen numerical competencies in children aged 5 and 6, drawing on advances in neuroscience and mathematics education. It proposes a playful and innovative approach to consolidating the cognitive foundations of mathematical learning from the very beginning of schooling, combining hybrid teacher training, in-class technical support, and the use of innovative pedagogical tools such as the Magic Boxes.
Following a successful pilot in 2025, Early Mathematics aims to consolidate a scalable model, including impact evaluation through a quasi-experimental design, generating empirical evidence to help inform future education policy in Uruguay.
The amount indicated as granted to each program is the one approved by Fundación ReachingU Board of Directors. The funds that each organization receives may differ due to adjustments made to the programs or variations in the exchange rate.
