Today marks the end of my term as Chairman of the Board of the foundation, and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all that we have achieved together over the past two years.
During this time, Fundación ReachingU has continued to solidify its position as a key player in Uruguay’s educational ecosystem, reaffirming our commitment to teacher development and educational innovation to create better opportunities for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible network that supports the foundation. To my fellow board members, our Executive Director Paula Mosera, the rest of the staff, volunteers, collaborators, and donors: thank you for your tireless efforts, for supporting me during my term, and for trusting in our mission.
As of January 1, 2025, the role of Chair of the Board will be assumed by Beatriz Ponce de León, the first woman to hold this position at Fundación ReachingU. Beatriz has extensive knowledge of the organization and a clear vision for its future. I am confident that her leadership, dedication, and expertise will take us even further. Best of luck, Bea!
I conclude my tenure as Chairman of the Board with deep gratitude and with the certainty that Fundación ReachingU’s future is bright. I will continue to support the foundation in my role as a board member, committed to working together to build a more equitable and prosperous Uruguay through education.
