It is an award that recognizes educators who lead innovative projects. The five finalists receive training scholarships, and the winner also receives a USD 5,000 prize to support their project or professional development.
The ReachingU National Teacher Prize is the local version of the Global Teacher Prize awarded by the Varkey Foundation, a prestigious international recognition that annually grants USD 1,000,000 to a teacher from anywhere in the world for their exceptional impact on the profession.
In 2026, the eighth edition of this award will be held.
The amount indicated as granted to each program is the one approved by Fundación ReachingU Board of Directors. The funds that each organization receives may differ due to adjustments made to the programs or variations in the exchange rate.
