Enhancing the contribution of Edutech in the learning process of reading and writing skills

Through the project "Enhancing the contribution of Edutech in the learning process of reading and writing skills", Fundación Ceibal is developing an application to support the learning of reading and writing in the Spanish language, for children in the initial literacy stage. The project is carried out along with Ceibal. Through collaboration mechanisms between the public education system, academia and innovators from the private sector, the project aims to develop new solutions that improve the academic performance of children aged 4-8, particularly those from vulnerable contexts. For the development of the application, a selection of the analogue content developed by the Sophia Method will be adapted. This method was developed and tested by the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU) and the Sophia Foundation. The project is supported and financed by IDB Lab and Fundación ReachingU.
