Growing Together

Growing Together (Creciendo Juntos) is a program implemented in public kindergartens and schools in Uruguay to strengthen the socio-emotional intelligence of children. Through group workshops, a team of professionals in the area of health and education is integrated to work in the centers, in coordination with the teaching teams. The proposal stimulates the development of self-knowledge based on emotional management, self-regulation and creativity in problem solving, all skills that benefit the academic, social and emotional life of students. It is also about raising their self-esteem, improving their self-concept and increasing their confidence to know, care for and respect themselves and others. Children learn and practice key tools for communication and coexistence, for the proper resolution of conflicts and the establishment of positive bonds.
