This diploma focuses on providing teachers with the tools to teach mathematics with a competency-based approach and how to address difficulties in their learning in the classroom. Learning math allows the student to develop specific skills, get prepared for future careers in STEM, understand the world around us, develop critical thinking, and communicate effectively. However, there are limitations in the teaching/learning of mathematics both in Uruguay and on a global scale. This diploma addresses this problem by offering training to teachers who work preferably in Kindergarten and Primary Education, who educate students from vulnerable backgrounds and who are interested in teaching mathematics with a competency-based approach.

The amount indicated as granted to each program is the one approved by Fundación ReachingU Board of Directors. The funds that each organization receives may differ due to adjustments made to the programs or variations in the exchange rate.
