The project funded consists of the construction of a biology laboratory at Colegio y Liceo San José, located in Rocha, a city in the east of the country. Attended by a population of children from 2 to 17 years old, it is the only school in the city that offers a comprehensive education, covering all the grades, and it is constantly growing. Colegio y Liceo San José is part of the Sophia Foundation, a network of mostly fragile and blue-collar family Catholic Schools. The Foundation assists 34 centers, and it seeks to contribute to teaching innovation to benefit education centers in general, but especially those attended by the most vulnerable sectors of society.
