Ceibal's Ceilab program is based on the makerspace concept: a collaborative workspace where learning is explored, investigated, experienced, created and shared from the practice of "doing". It works through project-based and student-centered learning, applying computational thinking, working with principles of the maker movement under the methodology of design thinking and encouraging creativity and problem solving with applied technology. Two digital laboratories will be installed: one at the Liceo Francisco in the department of Paysandú and another at the Liceo Providencia in Montevideo. The educational centers will receive the accompaniment of the Ceibal team for the beginning, in addition to a pack of micro:bit plates, expansion kits, copies of the Maker Notebook, micro:bit activity notebook, among other materials.

The amount indicated as granted to each program is the one approved by Fundación ReachingU Board of Directors. The funds that each organization receives may differ due to adjustments made to the programs or variations in the exchange rate.
